Oogave Soda  is an all natural Beverage which i recently had the opportunity to try. I must say I was quiet surprised at how great it taste.

Oogave Uses all natural organic ingredients and is so yummy you will love it yourself once you try it. if you have ever heard of Agave Nectar, this is what helps to "sweeten" Oogave Soda and make it as yummy as it is.

Caesar is a Saint Bernard/Lab mix that we rescued last December when he was only 12 weeks old.

Amazing Biorhythms Review & Giveaway

I am not one to put much stock in Horoscopes and such but I admit, I do read them pretty regularly and pay attention to them.

I came upon a product that I found quiet interesting, and it is actually pretty fun to read. Amazing Biorhythms.

The Biorhythms  shows  your physical, intellectual, and emotional cycles for the next month. It also has a spot where it tells you how many days you have lived. It is a pretty nifty little chart that I had a fun time reading and looking at.


I liked the Emotional cycles aspect of the chart and told my Hubby that he better pay close attention to those days and be super nice to me so I would not have a break down. :)


Basically, you fill in a little bit of information and they send you the chart via email in a downloadable format. The usual turnaround time to get your chart is 48 hours but I got mine in about 30 minutes. These would be great for a gift, especially if you are in a time crunch and really don't have much money to spend. I think it would be a cute item to frame and wrap for anyone, especially teenagers.


What exactly does Biorhythms mean? "Bio" means life and "rhythm" means flowing with a regular movement. We all have three ways of operating in this world; three internal energies interacting with each other in a continuously changing pattern on a daily basis. These are our biorhythms. They are the three cycles of energy that govern the physical, emotional, and intellectual aspects of our lives: Our physical sensations, our emotions, and our ability to reason. Each of these parts has its own ups and downs.

Giani Granite Review: Transforming My Counter Tops

As most of you who follow my Blog know, We are working on remodeling our 1910 built home. Although I would really love to gut my Kitchen and get a new one , that is just not in the foreseeable budgeted future, so I am doing the next best thing.

The Kitchen has become my first DIY project that I have tackled alone and that Chris actually let me do on my own. 

My counter tops were just plain ugly. I wanted something that looked more modern and made my kitchen look larger than it is. I choose to use a Giani Granite Counter Top Kit to redo the old counter tops. 

Take a good look at what my counter tops looked like before.

As you can see in the picture, I had old tile in some spots and wood in other spots. They were very unattractive.  I choose the Giani Granite White Diamond  Granite Kit to transform my counter tops with.

Giani Granite Counter top kits are super easy and I accomplished it all in a weekend ( most was drying time between steps.

The first step after cleaning them very well was to apply the primer included in my kit, which was black. You apply a very thin coat as you see here.

You let your primer dry for 8 hours before you continue to step 2. It took me about 1 hour to totally prime all my counters. Everything I needed to prime the counter tops was included with my kit.

Next up was applying the 3 minerals included with the kit, which are your prime colors for transforming your counter tops. I applied the Pearl, then the lighter tan color then the bright white. This took about 2 hours to do all of my counters and another 4 hours dry time ( I actually left mine overnight since it was later in the evening when I finished this part)

To apply the color, you use a sponge which is included in the kit, and the best part was that you did not need to wash the sponge out when changing to the next mineral color.

This looks amazing and the picture above is before I put the final sealant on. 

The final step was the apply the sealant. This was the easiest part, and again, everything I needed was included in my kit. This part took about half an hour and was super simple.

My husband was impressed with my accomplishments and at how well the Giani Granite Kit worked. My kitchen still needs work, but this simply made it look so much better already. I have been texting pictures all day to my friends and family because I am in love with my new counter tops.

Below, the final outcome after 2 coats of sealant and after  it had dried for 4 hours.

As you can see, we still have much work to do. The wall paper is 7 layers deep and era 1950's which will be removed and painted  and the cabinets need to be painted ( I am doing this on a budget and all on my own, so I will not be replacing the cabinets)

I was super impressed with the Giani Granite counter Top paint kits and would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to remodel their kitchen or bath on a budget.

Children and Divorce Film review

Unfortunately, 50 % of all marriages end in Divorce in the U.S.





So what does that mean to the children? As a parent who has been divorced, I know that it is a hard road, not just as a Parent , but it truly affected my children as well. Although my children are older, my step-children are still fairly young and even though it's been many years, they still ask questions.

Divorce can leave Children with unanswered questions and sometimes feeling as if they are the reason. Does that mean as Parents we should stay in a marriage for the children? Not at all, but by watching this film, you can understand how your children may be feeling and how you can help them to understand and feel loved throughout the divorce process.

The children and divorce film by Professor Child is a great documentary in which children from all walks of life talk about how they feel with divorce and the questions they have.

Watching the Children and Divorce film, brought back memories for me. I often wondered if my children felt like they caused the divorce or if they thought their siblings caused the divorce, what questions could I have answered to help them through this.


I guess until watching this film, I never thought to wonder if my Children felt like they had lost part of a family. One thing I always remembered was to never say bad things about their dad, and I have carried that through with my step kids as well because that is very important. I ask my step kids how they felt, even though it's been years, and they are still young and I was surprised by the answers. Our situation is a little atypical because my step children do not have much contact with their mother. They did tell me after they watched this film that at one point they thought it was my fault. That is a common thought when many parents remarry. Children need to understand exactly what is going to happen and be on a schedule and need both parents to continue to be in their lives and show them love and support.

My children say that it is hard for them living back and forth in two different towns, they sometimes feel they have to choose between their parents and their friends.

After we watched the film, I ask my kids to all go through the worksheet with me, My children were a bit older so I'm not sure how much they got out of the film, but my step-children seemed to really have a lot of questions and I was finally able to answer them. They now understand that sometimes with adults, things just do not work out and that they are not responsible for a divorce. I found that they had very ill feelings toward their Mother, and I hope I was able to, with the help of this film, alleviate some of their questions that have been unanswered for so long.

After watching the film, it seemed like my step-kids felt some relief from having seen other kids asking questions that they had themselves, it helped them to realize they are not alone in how they feel and that children go through this everyday.

This film taught all of our children that they never had to feel like they had to choose sides and that the questions they have are important and we are here to answer them the best that we can.




It is important for us, as parents, to not put our children in the middle or make them a messenger in our issues with the other parents.

If you are going through a divorce, I highly recommend watching this film with your kids so you can answer their questions, and help them to understand what is happening without having them feel they are left with unanswered questions.
